Abstract
The aim of this research was to find out the effect of propolis toward the number and type of blood leucocyte count of male mice (mus musculus). This research used 25 male white mice which are 12 weeks old which has 25-35 g of body weight. They were devided randomly into five groups. (P0) as a control was given 0.5 ml aquades/20gW/day, and other group were given propolis for (P1) 1,6 mg/20gW/day, (P2) 3,2 mg/20gW/day, (P3) 6,4 mg/20gW/day, and (P4) 12,8 mg/20gW/day. After two weeks treatment, 25 mice’s blood were taken then amounted by Improved Neubauer, and used in blood preparation. The data were analyzed by ANOVA method based on Completely Randomized Design, and further analyzed by Tukey's multiple range (Tukey's Multiple Range Test). The result from statistical analysis showed that treatment with propolis increased body immune system and immunostimulator characterized that reflected by increased the amount of lymphocyte cell from the leucocyte blood.
