Abstract

This research aims to determined inhibition the betel leaf extract (Piper betle L). On the growth of Aspergillus flavus. A method of this research use experimental laboratories. The betel leaf extract concentration of 100%, 90%, 80%, 70%, 60%, 50%, 40%, 30%, 20%, and 10% by the agar diffusion method and incubation at temperatures 300C for three days. Effect the betel leaf extract ( Piper betle L. ) against Aspergillus flavus based on the diameter inhibition zones formed and measured on the third days incubated. The result obtained in the analysis with one way ANOVA and continued by HSD 5 % test. The betel leaf extract could inhibition aspergillus flavus indicated by the formation of inhibition zone on the concentration of 10 % with an average of the greatest diameter of 4,517. The concentration of the betel leaf extract the highest inhibition growth of Aspergillus flavus at concentrations 100 % is 34,900 and significantly different with other treatment (P<0,05).
