Abstract
The purpose of this research is to know bacterial endometritis in the pig farming at Probolinggo. This research used 11 samples of sows vaginal swab which infected by endometritis with symptoms is repeat breeding, vaginal discharge, abortusand the other can known by using Ultrasonography (USG). Isolation and identification of bacterial endometritis was inoculated in Mac Concey Agar and Blood Agar and than was incubated for 24-hour. After incubation the bacteria were observed by their colony growth in Mac Concey Agar and Blood Agar. The next step is gram test to know about the gram of bacteria. The identification of bacteria was tested by catalase and biochemical test. The biochemical test is to investigate genus or species of bacteria used Urea media, SC, SIM, MR, KIA and carbohydrate fermentation (glucose, lactose, maltose, and mannose). The result of the test is Escheriachia coli (60%), Shigella boydii (13,3%), Streptococcus β haemolyticus (20%) and Enterobacter cloacae (6,7%).
