Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of supplementation lysine and methionine on the percentage of carcass weight and abdominal fat of broiler exposed to heat stress. The parameters measured the percentage of carcass weight and abdominal fat. It used experimental twenty broiler chickens, they divided into five treatments and four replications consisting of P0 (feed without lysine and methionine supplement combination, and without being exposed to heat stress), P1 (feed without lysine and methionine supplement combination,and exposed to heat stress), P2 (feed to supplement the combination of 0.5% lysine and methionine 0.19% and exposed to heat stress), P3 (feed to supplement the combination of 1.0% lysine and 0.38% and exposed to heat stress), P4 (supplement feed with combination of 1.5% lysine and methionine 0,57% and exposed to heat stress). The treatment was gived for two weeks, at the start of the fourth week until the end of the fifth week. Exprimental design used completely randomized design. The data were analized using Analysis Of Variance. If there was noticable differences between the treatment, that continued with Last Significant Difference Test. The conclucion show that the effect of suplementation lysine and methionine on the percentage of carcass weight and abdominal fat of broiler exposed to heat stress can not increase the percentage of carcass weight, and can not increase the percentage of abdominal fat of broiler chickens exposed to heat stress.
