Abstract

This research was aimed to compare whether layer chickens biosecurity factor influence to the presence of Pasteurella multocida in two farms. Samples were 16 samples from layer chickens that suspected Fowl Cholera with criteria such as sick and/or died with green feces, torticolis-like, mouth discharge, and facial swelling. These samples obtained were 8 samples per farm. Additional information was questioner based on information taken directly from the farmers. The questioner consists of biosecurity correlated question. The isolation and identification of Pasteurella multocida was done according to the biochemical characteristics. The descriptive result showed that 6.25% of samples were positive P. multocida. The differentiation between two farms was not clearly proved due to the biosecurity practice in the both farms were insignificant
