Abstract
Muslim dress Shariah compliance by covering the entire body except hands face feet are religious orders that must be practiced by Muslim women. This fashion as penutu genitalia or better known as the veil or hijab. Headscarf or hijab has been known throughout the archipelago around the year 1400 or (14 century). Hijab is the real identity of Muslim Indonesia since centuries ago. The hijab is a refinement of a hood placed over his head. The hijab is not an Arab cultural heritage such as the assumption is that we've been hearing. Evident from, paintings, photographs or reliefs that tell a national hero as well as the queen of the kingdom of the archipelago that has been put on the veil. In the development of the use of the veil have ups and downs, depending on its rulers. As happened in the 1980s. Ban on wearing headscarves occurred. The Government issued Decree 052 provides a new use of a school uniform policy, which is essentially the use of school uniforms should be in accordance with the school for violating gets tough sanctions and encouraged to move in or out of school. Including users veil or headscarf. A lot of resistance and struggle of Muslim women who oppose this rule. The government fears the existence of political Islam who want to change the Indonesia of the Pancasila state into an Islamic state to make the government issued various rules which ban or restrict cornered or Muslims in Indonesia. The existence of Islamic ideology is considered harmful to national stability. But along with the passage of time all the more aware of the issues that take advantage of national unity. Hijab clad only formality that does not need to worry or suspicion of endangering State and divisive national unity. Finally the veil received formal legitimacy of the government, as evidenced by the issuance of Decree 100.
