Abstract
This research purposed to identify effect of Glutaraldehyde and Benzalkonium Chloride combination as disinfectant that can decrease total of bacteria in layer chicken cages. This research 12 samples from layer chicken cage swab prior to disinfectant being used and 12 samples from layer chicken cage swab after disinfectant being used. Method used in this research was Viable Count Technique (VCT) using Standard Dropping Pippetes. Data analysis was performed by observing total of bacteria colony numbers before disinfectant spray and the total number of bacteria colony after disinfectant being used. Of research result it was obtained that total number of bacteria was decreased after disinfectant being used. Research result showed that total number of bacteria in layer chicken cage have decreased significantly.
