Abstract

The aim of this study was to know the prevalence of gastrointestinal worm infection on Macaca genus at Maharani Zoo Lamongan. 14 fecal sample was examined from three times sampling from Maharani Zoo Lamongan. The samples was examined by sedimentation, floatation and TCPGT counting. The result of this study was from 14 specimens, the total prevalence from Macaca nigra was 0%, Macaca fascicularis 6,67%, Macaca maura 33,33%, Macaca nemestrina 6,67% and Macaca fuscata was 33,33% toward the infection of gastrointestinal tract worm were two eggs of Oesophagostomum spp and two eggs of Strongyloides spp. Rate of TCPGT on Macaca maura was 200 ± 200,04, Macaca fascicularis was 106,66 ± 106,67, Macaca nemestrina was 160 ± 160,00 Macaca fuscata 600 ± 600,00 and Macaca nigra was 0 ± 0.
