Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there are differences in fat, solid non fat (SNF), lactose and protein content of milking in the morning time and afternoon time on a dairy farm in Jemur Wonosari, District Wonocolo Surabaya. The research was design by two treatments (i) milking process in the morning; and (ii) milking process in the afternoon on ten dairy. Samples of milk are transferred to the Veterinary Public Health laboratory. Fat test conducted use by Gerber methods, solid non fat (SNF) with Fleischmann and protein test use by formol titration method. Then the results were analyzed using SPSS software assistance 18 (Statistical Program For Social Science 18). Value of fat, solid non fat (SNF), lactose and protein of milk that milking in the afternoon were 4,95; 8,14; 3,73 and 3,76 respectively, milking in the morning has fat content 3.37, solid non fat (SNF) 7,10, lactose 4,13 and protein content 2,79. Based on the results of this study concluded that fat, solid non fat (SNF) and protein content on the afternoon milking was higher than the morning time. But lactose content on the morning milking was higher than the afternoon time.
