Abstract
The aims of this study was to determine leucocytes and differential counting in domestic chicken (Gallus domesticus) which infected by Plasmodium sp. in Pasuruan District. This research used 18 blood samples which colected from 18 domestic chicken in pasuruan district. The blood samples were collected from the brachial veins of the domestic chickens. Blood films stained with Giemsa stain were examined for Plasmodium sp. Plasmodium sp. was found in 15 blood samples and 3 samples were negative Plasmodium sp. Leukocyte value was determined by hemocytometer, differential counting was determined using microscope 100x. Data obtained from this study was analyzed by T-Test 1sample. The result showed that there was a significant difference (p < 0.05) in leukocytes value and eosinophil parameters of non- infected and naturally infected chickens with Plasmodium sp.
