Abstract

This research was aimed to as find out the specific antigenic protein of worms Raillietina echinobothrida which is expected to be used as a basis for the development of serological diagnosis raillietiniasis. This research is exploratory laboratory. Material in this research using R. echinobothrida worms were obtained from chicken gastrointestinal tract for making of homogenates whole worm extract. Whole worm extract protein obtained by sonication technique then this protein was analyzed using SDS-PAGE technique and continued with characterization of antigenic proteins by Western blot technique. Analysis results WWE protein R. echinobothrida with SDS-PAGE technique gained 14 protein bands with molecular 126.8, 114.0, 89.7, 72.7, 62.7, 60.5, 51.3, 42.7, 45.3, 40.3, 36.9, 27.3, 20.8, dan 12.9 kDa. The results of protein characterization WWE R. echinobothrida by Western blot techniques acquired 7 antigenic protein bands with molecular weight of 114.0, 89.7, 72.7, 60.5, 51.3, 40.3 and 12.9 kDa. The proteins are potential to be developed material diagnostic raillietiniasis as a serologic.
