Abstract
The aims of this research is to determine effect of thawing length to motility and necrosis in frozen semen of Simmental cattle. This research was conducted in July-August 2014. The first treatment (P1) was frozen semen thawing 15 seconds. The second treatment (P2) was frozen semen thawing 30 seconds. The third treatment (P3) was frozen semen thawing 45 seconds. Experiment design used was randomized complete draft. The result was analysed used ANOVA (Analysis of Variant) and continued with different test (the smallest real LSD 5%). The post thawing motility’s result was (P1) 50,83a ± 3,77, (P2) 45,83b ± 3,77, and (P3) 40,83c ± 3,77. The post thawing necrosis’s result was (P1) 7,00a ± 1,79, (P2) 10,17b ± 2,22, and (P3) 13,67c ± 2,25, showed that the inherent motility and necrosis different treatment groups significantly with the first treatment (P1) was semen thawing 15 seconds.
