Abstract
The aim of this research want to know the correlation between blood glucose and wound healing post castration and ovariohysterectomy. Cats as animal model we used in this research, 15 male cats were castrated and 15 female cats were treated ovariohysterectomy, before that they were took the blood for blood glucose test. The wound healing process was macroscopic observed. The wound was considered healed when its condition is dried. The data collected were analyzed using correlation regression on significance 1%. The result showed positive correlation with significant difference (p<0,01) between blood glucose and wound healing post castration ( r = +0,704 ) and between blood glucose and wound healing post ovariohysterectomy ( r = +0,684 ). It was mean that the blood glucose could increase time of wounding healing post castration and ovariohysterectomy.
