Abstract

The purpose of this research was to examine complete feed effect on kidney function of etawa breed goat. Subjects were female goat of 2 – 3 years old with body weight of 38 kg, were divided into 4 groups. First group as control was given forage, second group was given standard formula, that contain of grass and ration 0. Second group was given second formula, that contain of grass and ration X. Third group was given third formula, that contain of grass and ration Y. All formula were given on each group during a month, and a week for adaptation. Blood sample was taken 10 ml for Blood Urea Nitrogen and Creatinine examination. Blood Urea Nitrogen was examined by Berthelot method and creatinine was examined by Jaffe method. F1, F2, F3 are significantly different with control in blood urea nitrogen examination. But there are no significant difference among F1, F2, and F3 in both examination Blood Urea Nitrogen and creatinine. Blood Urea Nitrogen and Creatinine examination are still in normal range. Normal Blood Urea Nitrogen are 13 - 28 mg/dl and normal Creatinine are 0.9 – 1.8 mg/dl for goat.
