Abstract

The aim of this research was to confirm titer antibodies of Avian Influenza H5N1 virus Haemaglutination Inhibition (HI Test) with Serum Neutralization Test (SNT). There were 20 serum used. Sample of the study was taken through several phases, namely: 1. Titration of virus used Tissue Culture Infecting Dose 50 (TCID50); 2. Identification and Titration of Antibodies used was Haemaglutination Inhibition Test (HI Test); 3. Serum Neutralization Test (SNT). Using Reed and Muench methods, the result of the study on Tissue Culture Infecting Dose 50 (TCID50) test was 1,93 x 107 TCID50/ml. Then from the titer antibodies HI test (X and Y vaccine) took three highest that were 26; 27; 28. Furthermore, from the three highest titers, the SNT will be used. So the SNT result (X8) was 1:103 it means it can neutralize the viruses in antibody concentrate 103, and vaccine (Y10) was 1:105 that means can neutralize viruses at 105. It can be concluded that SNT is capable to confirm the titer antibodies of HI Test.
