Abstract
A distribution of Culicoides specieses around poultry farm in Kediri Regency have been investigated.The purpose of the research was to study the distribution of the specieces of Culicoides that might be contribute to leucocytozoon disease transmission. Culicoides were collected from four poultry farm in Kediri Regency. One hundred and eighty four Culicoides were collected by use of lamp and sucked by aspirator. The Culicoides were identified morfhologically according to Wirth and Hubert.The result of the study showed that there were differeences of population Culicoides between four poultry farm. The Culicoides sp have been identified from four poultry farm are : C. arakawae, C. guttifer, C. huffi and the other Culicoides spesies. The spesies C. arakawae and C. guttifer might be have potential role of the transmission of leucocytozoonosis on the surrounding of poultry farm in Kediri Regency.
