Abstract

The aim of this research to determine the type of cuticle hydrocarbon which is the main component of sex pheromone of females M. domestica. Material in this research was cuticles extract of females M. domestica aged 4, 6 and 8 days from rearing of laboratory results taken by quota. Cuticle of M. domestica extracted in a solution of M. domestica n-hexane extract and then analyzed using a tool called Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectometry (GC-MS). From this research it is known that in M. domestica with compounds C20-30 at the age of 4 days was produce 7 compounds in M. domestica age 6 days was produce 14 compounds, and to M. domestica age 8 days was produce 8 compounds.
