Abstract

One of the causeof low fertility in the goat population is balance of hormone level. To improve the goat reproduction, superovulation by using hormones in an alternative hormonal treatment.Post menopausal womenproduce gonadotropin hormone, known as hMG (Human Menopausal Gonadotropin) because there is no real reaction of feedback mechanism from estrogen. This reaction increase FSH and LH level in their urine. Therefore it is expected that, this hormone can be used as alternative material for infertilitation treatment in goat. This is the first research in the use of hMG as an ingredient in goat (Etawa Hybrid) superovulation with 1.5 to 2 years of age, with the technique of single-dose IM injection of hMG P1=75 IU; P2=150 IU; P3=225 IU and P4=300 IU. The results of this research indicate the occurrence time lust after injection of hMG 63 hours in goat P1, P2 65 hours, P3 69 hours and P4 67 hours. Injection of HMG on Etawa Hybrid affect the accelerating time of emergence of estrus. Differences in the various injected doses of hMG given in PE was not significantly different between the treatment and the other one, this is because a single dose hMG injection.
