Abstract
The aim of this research is to identify the molecular weight of schizont antigenic protein of Leucocytozoon sp. It should be noted that the schizont antigenic protein that was being observed in this research was isolated from local chicken. In order to reach the aim, first, the schizont of Leucocytozoon sp. was isolated from pancreas of local chicken. Furthermore, this schizont protein of Leucocytozoon sp. in the pancreas was isolated by sonication technique. After that, the sample was injected to two rabbits to produce polyclonal antibody and then, the antibody titer was measured by ELISA method. Finally, the schizont antigenic protein of Leucocytozoon sp. was identified by immunoblotting (Western blot). In conclusion the result showed that schizont of Leucocytozoon sp. has four antigenic protein fractions. They were 48,98 kDa, 39,81 kDa, 37,15 kDa, and 35,48 kDa.
