Abstract
This research was done to identify the crude protein and crude fibre of the Cogon grass (Imperata cylindrica) fermentation product using natural probiotic. The Cogon grass was cut 2-5 cm and divided in four groups (P0, P1, P2 and P3.) and five replicates. PO was 500 grams Cogon grass without natural probiotic. PI was 500 grams Cogon grass an: 12% natural probiotic. P2 was 500 grams Cogon grass and 4% natural probiotic. P3 was 500 grams Cogon grass and 6% natural probiotic. The experimental design was completely randomized design. The data were analyzed using the analysis of variance statistic method and if there were differences among the treatments, the Duncan's multiple range test was used. The result showed that 6% natural probiotic to the Cogon grass fermentation product was the best treatment to increase the crude protein and to decrease the crude fibre of the Cogon grass.
