Abstract

The purpose of this survey was done to determine the differences of total solid content of milking from early, mid and the last lactation at KUD "Kertajaya" Kandangan Kediri region. The sample used 30 cows that second lactated, with early, mid and the last lactation with 10 cows each. The milking time which were examined in the morning and evening time for 7 days. Samples of milk were examined at KUD ”KERTAJAYA” Kandangan Kediri laboratory. The fat test used Gerber methods, spesific weight test used lactodensimeter, and Total Solid test used Fleischmann formula. Results of this survey indicate the differences of Total Solid content from morning milking and evening milking during lactation. In early lactation, morning average 11.28, afternoon 12.03, in mid-lactation morning average 11.33, afternoon 12.11, and the last lactation morning average 11.37, afternoon 13.01. Based on during the research it was concluded that the highest Total Solid content of milk is the last lactation.
