Abstract

The aim of this research was to know the pattern of humoral immune response in mice after infected by second stage larvae of Toxocara vitulorum (T. vitulorum) at different times by using indirect-ELISA technique. The experimental animal used in this research were ten male mices (Mus musculus) infected by second stage larvae of T. vitulorum worm, and than the serum was collected at three different times to detect the immunoglobulin from the experimental animal in this research. T0 was collected before infection while T1 and T2 the serum was collected at 7th and 28th day after infection. Humoral immune response againts second stage larva of T. vitulorum worm determined by optical density (OD) value that obtained from the assay of indirect-ELISA. The data was analyzed with Anova Test and Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) 5% using SPSS 10.0 for windows. The result showed highly significant difference (p<0.01) among T0, T1, and T2. After continued with testing of the HSD 5%, There were significantly differences (p<0.05) between T0 with T1 and T2. While between T1 and T2 there were no significantly differences.
