Abstract
Vitamin E (alpha tochopherol) as an antioxidant is added in order to reduce stress levels in broiler after vaccination, because it has an important role in the immune system. Twenty five broiler chickens were treated with Gumboro active vaccine and they were kept up to the age of harvest (5 weeks) which is divided into five treatment of P0, P1, P2, P3, and P4 with the dose of vitamin E 0 mg/kg, 100 mg/kg, 150 mg/kg, 200 mg/kg, and no vitamin and no vaccine, respectively to determine the effect of vitamin E on the value of OD antibody and performance broiler. The data was analyzed by ANOVA and BNJ with SPSS program. The resut of the addition of vitamin E in the feed to the OD value of antibody showed no significant difference (p>0.05) among all treatments. The performance at them that were added with vitamin E in feed at a dose of 150 mg/kg and 200 mg/kg showed significant diferences (p<0.05) compared with the dose of 100 mg/kg.
