Abstract

The purpose of this study was to detect sero prevalence of Avian Influenza H5 on swine in some provinces in Indonesia such as DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, Bali, West Kalimantan, and Central Kalimantan. The sample for HAI assay were collected from sera of swine that have been added RDE (Receptor Destroying Enzyme) (3:1). HAI assay is positive when agglutination inhibition shown, that is signed by haemagglutination on the base of micro plate wells. The result showed that from 310 samples, there were 54 samples had specific antibody of Avian Influenza H5. The percentage of sero prevalence of Avian Influenza H5 detected was 17.4%.
