Abstract

The aim of this experiment to know the potency of rumen content meal that was fermented by Rhizopus oligosporus on carcass and abdominal fat percentage broiler chicken. The experiment used twenty broiler chickens, aged one day, were randomly devided into five dietary treatments and four replicates per treatment. The control group (P0), were feed commercial 90% and 10% of corn. The others were feed commercial 90% and 10% of rumen content meal (P1) ; feed commercial 90% and 10% of rumen content meal that was fermented by Rhizopus oligosporus 1% (P2) ; feed commercial 90% and 10% of rumen content meal that was fermented by Rhizopus oligosporus 2% (P3) ; feed commercial 90% and 10% of rumen content meal that was fermented by Rhizopus Oligosphorus 3% (P4). The experimental diets were feed for two weeks in finisher period. The result were statiscally analyzed through analysis of variance (ANOVA) than continued by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test with significant degree 5% to know the best treatment. The result indicated that there were no significant difference (p>0.05) in carcass and abdominal fat percentage. The conclusion is the potency of rumen content meal that was fermented by Rhizopus oligosporus was not increased to carcass percentage and was not decreased to abdominal fat percentage.
