Abstract
The purpose of this research is to measure the healing time for the burns in rats treated with propolis cream compared to burns that treated with sodium chloride solution. This research was using 20 samples of white rats (Rattus novergicus) and treated for 14 days. They were divided randomly and equally into 5 groups of treatment. Rats in the first group had been treated with sodium chloride solution as control while the second, third and fourth group was treated with propolis cream. These treatment was applicated daily for 14 days. The rats then observed in 7th, 10th and 14th day, depends on macroscospic terms. In conclusion, the application of propolis cream was not significantly effective for healing burns.
