Abstract
Urolithiasis is a general term of urolith in urinary tract. Urolithiasis can cause a serious problems and death. The aims of this study are to determine the frequency of urolithiasis incident in cats at Veterinary Hospital of Veterinary Medicine Faculty, University of Airlangga in period 2013 to 2014 and to determine significantly influence predisposition factors of urolithiasis incident in cats include race, age, sex, feed, urinary infection, and activity. The data of urolithiasis cases in cats obtained from medical record or ambulator of Veterinary Hospital, Veterinary Medicine Faculty, Airlangga University, Surabaya in period 2013 to 2014. Data Tabulation of predisposition factors subsequently confirmed by obtains confirmation from the owner of the cats. The result showed the frequency of urolithiasis incident based on total number of cats patient have treated during the period 2013 to 2014 was 0.6%. The frequency of urolithiasis incident based on the number of cats who suspected while suffering from urolithiasis was 68%, with details in 2013 was 20%, while in 2014 was 48%. The increasing frequence depend on the changing patern of owner’s behaviour to their pets. The most significantly predisposition factor which influence on urolithiasis incident is feed (p < 0,05), especially by using commercial dry feed.
