Abstract

Avian influenza is a viral disease caused by type A influenza virus, it belongs to the virus family Orthomyxoviridae. HI test can be used for detecting virus which have haemaglutinin such as Avian Influenza virus. So far there are not any literature mention about the concentracion of pig erytrhocyte. The aim of this research was to find out and to compare titer antibody to Avian Influenza viruses on pigs with different pig erythrocyte concentration (0,5% and 0,75%). HI test were done with 18 samples of pigs sera. Samples for HI test were isolated from sera of pigs that have been added RDE (Receptor Destroying Enzyme) (3:1). Positive result show if the titer reach 23 (log2 3) or more. On this HI test result from 0,5% erythrocyte oncentration were shown at 12 samples and at all samples from 0,75% erythrocyte concentration. The avarage of Avian Influenza viruses antibody titer on pigs using 0,5% and 0,75% erythrocyte cencentration is 3,67:6,11. The conclusion from this research was that 0,75% pig erythrocyte more respon to Avian Influenza viruses of pigs.
