Abstract

The aim of this study was to know the endurance of Avian Influenza (AI) virus isolate A/Ck/Indonesia/BL/03 (H5N1) in wet faeces treated with formalin or ADBAC (Alkyl Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chlorida). The design study that was used in this experimental study was Complete Random Device of Factorial Pattern. The first factor were AI virus isolate A/Ck/Indonesia/BL/03 (H5N1) in several concentration of 103, 105, 107 and control, while the second factor were disinfectant such as formalin and ADBAC, and the third factor were the contact time of 5, 15, 30 and 45 minutes. The data that was obtained in this study was analysed by analysis of variance (Anova) and continued by Duncan test. The result of this study showed that AI virus isolate A/Ck/Indonesia/BL/03 (H5N1) in the concentrat of 105 could be reisolated after being treated with ADBAC 0,6% but not after being treated with formalin 2%.
