Abstract

Ngantru Health Center is a clinic that found patients with pulmonary TB ART (+) of all pulmonary TB occurring in Tulungagung. From 2009 to 2010 the number of the sufferers decreased but they increased in the year 2010 to 2011. This study is intended to analyze house hygiene, sanitation facilities, and residential density factors based on the mapping distribution of the prevalence of pulmonary tuberculosis ART (+) in the working area of Ngantru Health Center in 2009-2011. This research is a descriptive study using cross-sectional design. The subjects are 32 patients who suffered from pulmonary tuberculosis ART (+). The primary data is based on the observation and interviews. The secondary data is the patients who suffered from pulmonary tuberculosis ART (+) in Ngantru Health Center. The altitude plateau region is moderate and ranged from 84.18 to 95.77 m (asl). The temperature and humidity criteria of 18 houses of people with either pulmonary tuberculosis are good but 12 houses are not. The distance from patients’ houses to health center is relatively close. The closest distance is 0.17 km and the farthest is 4.91 km. Patients with pulmonary TB who have a good knowledge level of 43.75%, while the less well at 56.25%. Only 25% of the patients with pulmonary tuberculosis who had contact with other tuberculosis patients live in the same house. Patients with pulmonary TB who have a bigger house hygiene score equal to 728 are 6.25% and have well criteria while the rest of less than 728 and have less well criteria. Sanitation of the 56,25% patients have a not good criteria and 43.75% is good. The residence of 34.75% of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis are crowded but 65.25% are not. The mapping distribution pattern of pulmonary tuberculosis is spread. To further enhance the health center Ngantru tuberculosis control programs. And extension of the knowledge and behavior of pulmonary tuberculosis and healthy living.
