Abstract
At Kabupaten Nganjuk was meet area with endemic goiter at highland and upland. IDD can caused geographic condition and environment. Beside of that, IDD can caused the goitrogenic subs tance what come from with natural and polutan. Endemic of weight in upland at Kabupaten Nganjuk may because with the goitrogenic substances. The objective of the study is study of the different of the food consumtion pattern and the water s ources at the school child between the village of endemic weight and the vi llage of non endemic goiter at Kabupaten Nganjuk. This was comparation study and an alytic study. The Population and sample is student of Primary School, class of 4, 5, 6 in the village of endemic weight and the village of non endemic goi ter in Kabupaten Nganjuk. Subject were selected by random and the sum of samples are 15 student each of group. This was doing at village of Putren, Kecamatan Sukomoro and Mangundikaran, Kecamatan Nganjuk. Data was collected with interviews by quetionary and checking of water samples at laboratory. There was different of food consump tion pattern of iodine source are fresh fish from sea, the preserve fish without drying, egg and chicken, while of food consumption pattern of goitrogenic sources (cassava, mustard greens, cabbage) are not different. Water sources ar e not different, and the value of nitrat in the water resources is different between the village of endemic and the village of non goiter endemic. The food consumption pattern of goitrogenic sources and the value of nitrat in the water source are caused the goiter endemic in Putren Village
