Abstract

Incident can occur due to various factors. That factors are coming from management, personal, work, unsafe action, and unsafe condition in the workplace. This study aimed to identify the factors controlling the management level, personal factors which consists of knowledge and motivation of workers, unsafe actions and unsafe conditions factor in PT Nusa Konstruksi Enjiniring in construction projects Skyline Tower Surabaya. On personal factors, namely knowledge and motivation of workers, as well as unsafe actions of workers seen how strong relationship with the incident. This study was an observational cross sectional approach. Samples were taken from the total population of workers in the work of formwork by 26 people. The available data were analyzed descriptively to see objectively the factors that cause incident. The result of the study showed that 76,9% of workers had an incident. The result to identify the level of management control was done by looking at the company K3 program implementation showed that 14 of the 15 K3 program has been implemented in the workplace. Personal factors were knowledge (69,2%) and the motivation of workers (73,1%) showed mostly unfavourable. Most workers perform unsafe actions (73,1%). The result of the identification of unsafe conditions in work area formwork showed that 64,2% identified as unsafe condition. The results also showed that knowledge, motivation, and unsafe actions of workers reasonably related to incident and unsafe action had the strongest relationship with incident. Factors that cause incident in PT Nusa Konstruksi Enjiniring in construction projects Skyline Tower Surabaya are lack of knowledge about K3, poor motivation of workers, and unsafe action.
