Abstract

Internal and external factors are caused women decision of early marriage. The general objective of this research is to analyze the relationship between the internal factors and women decision of early marriage. This research is an observational analytic study with cross sectional design. The samples are women who were married in early age in the Simokerto Subdistrict, Surabaya, 2013 with 48 women. The samples are selected by systematic random sampling which were fulfill the inclusive criteria. This research used IPC Locus of Control questionnaire and EPQR-S. The data were analyzed using Chi-Square Test with α = 0,05. The results of this research show that most of women decided married in early age unperforcely, but they have low degree of education. Most women locus of control orientation are internal, and the personality type of most women are Extrovert. Degree of education (p = 1,000) and locus of control orientation (p = 1,000) unassociate with individual decision of early marriage, but the personality type (p = 0,049) associate with individual decision of early marriage. There’s relationship between personality type with women decision of early marriage, meanwhile there were not relationship between degree of education and locus of control orientation with women decision of early marriage. It needs to increase unmarried teenager’s knowledge about marriage and reproduction’s health which have low degree of education with early founding of an extrovert personality.
