Abstract

Cervical cancer is a type of cancer most in Indonesia after breast cancer. Even thought, every one hour, one woman in Indonesia died of cervical cancer. This study aims to determine the relationship between age at first marriage, parity and use of hormonal contraceptives with cervical cancer incidence in cancer foundation Wisnuwardhana This was a type of observational analytic study, and according to the time of this study was cross sectional study. The population in this study were women who had a pap smear in Surabaya Wisnuwardhana Cancer Foundation, in January and May 2013, the samples were taken by Probability Sampling. The type used was simple random sampling conducted in June to July 2014 on weekdays. Determined sample of 150 women who perform pap smears. The analysis used data using multiple logistic regression. Independent variables, age at first marriage, parity, use of hormonal contraception and the dependent variable was the incidence of cervical cancer. The conclusion that can be drawn was the result of multiple logistic regression analysis with significance level below 5% significance value (α = 0.05), so it can be seen there is a relationship between age at first marriage, parity, and hormonal contraceptive use with the incidence of cervical cancer in the cancer foundation Wisnuwardhana Surabaya. Most respondents were positive diagnosis of cervical cancer was respondents who were married at age <20 years, have 3 children and using hormonal contraception.
