Abstract

Infant mortality is one of health problem that really important in Indonesia. World Health Organization has announced that most of infant mortality happened in perinatal period. Researchers have been doing many research about risk factor of perinatal mortality but the result was vary. This research aimed to review researches that did before to get better and accurate result about risk factor of perinatal mortality. This research was unobtrusive research that used meta analysis method. This research used 21 researches from all region in Indonesia and have been selected by specific criteria. The independent variables were frequent of antenatal care, birth attendant, maternal age, maternal parity, maternal education, and infant weight. Data analysis used comprehensive meta analysis software with significance level α=5%. The result showed that odds ratio for frequent of antenatal care was 4,485 (CI : 3,541-5,681), birth attendant 1,749 (CI : 0,825-3,710), maternal age 2,587 (CI : 1,855-3,109), maternal parity 2,286 (CI : 1,648-3,169), maternal education 1,661 (CI :1,245-2,216), and infant weight 14,018 (CI: 7,243 – 27,130). In conclusion infant weight was the most risk factor of perinatal mortality and birth attendant was not risk factor of perinatal mortality.
