Abstract

Fire in companies may cause loss of valuable assets, process production, and labor opportunities. The fire damnification is caused by an absences of management system in prevention and controlling fires on work place. The BUMN report is defined that PT. Telkom Kancatel Mojokerto has a fire occurred by short electricity and implacement fire extinguish. The research objectives was analyzed of fires management system in PT Telkom Kancatel Mojokerto compared by Indonesia’s national standartdization (SNI) and international standardization (NFPA). The research was cross sectional study used an observational approach. Data collected by interview with 4 leader informants (Senior Manager HR) and 10 employee informants (Department of Safety and Security) at PT. Telkom Kancatel Mojokerto used purposive sampling technique. The result study indicates that management already made a fire management system that compliance with goverment regulation at PT. Telkom Kancatel Mojokerto. The emergency responses management and life saving facilities already compliance with SNI and NFPA’s act with value 83,35% and 91,7%, it was categorized in “Good”. Nevertheless, the compliance of fire protection system was 80,14%. It was caused by lots of unfulfilment substances, placement APAR was not properly, procedure of hydrant, sprinkler and detector utilization were not available. In conclusion, the company was made a standardization policy to fires management system. In practically there was incompatibility of fire management by SNI and NFPA. As recommendation, the company should be put APAR near the workers and procuderu of hdyrant, sprinkler, and detector were available.
