Abstract
Latar Belakang: Radiograf panoramik digital yang dihasilkan sangat ditentukan dari proses pembuatan radiograf itu sendiri. Kesalahan teknis dan kesalahan posisi merupakan penyebab kegagalan dalam pembuatan radiograf digital panoramik yang sering terjadi. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui terjadinya kegagalan radiograf digital panoramik di RSGM Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Airlangga (periode Oktober-Desember 2014). Metode: 100 radiograf digital panoramik pasien yang telah memenuhi kriteria sampel diamati kesalahannya dan ditabulasi berdasarkan pengamatan pada radiograf dengan memperhatikan ciri/gambaran khas yang tampak. Hasil: dari 100 sampel didapatkan 78 sampel mengalami kegagalan akibat kesalahan posisi yang didominasi oleh posisi lidah tidak berada pada palatum, sedangkan kesalahan teknis sebanyak 2 sampel. Kesimpulan: Kesalahan posisi merupakan kesalahan yang paling sering terjadi pada radiograf digital panoramik di UPF Radiologi Kedokteran Gigi RSGM Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Airlangga (periode Oktober-Desember 2014).
