PELAKSANAAN KOMUNIKASI TERAPEUTIK PERAWAT DI RUMAH SAKIT SURABAYA INTERNASIONAL.

Abstract
Every nurses must have therapeutic communication skill, because aspects of therapeutic communication skill is so important for healing process of the patient. With special attention to principles, techniques, and good behaviour in therapeutic communication, so will emerge good relationship with the patient.
This research is doing by descriptive program and quantitative approach. Interview through quetionaire to 88 nurses and 118 patients through variables: sex, age, education level, time of working in the hospital, spend the night, knowledge of terapeutik communication, implementation of terapeutik communication, and valuation about terapeutik communication.
Result of the research show that nurses in Surabaya International Hospital understand how to implement terapeutik communication in definitive or practice although there is technique which past over, it is indicate that implementation of terapeutik communication is not optimum. .
Conclusion from the implementation of terapeutik communication by the nurse in Surabaya International Hospital is affected by characteristic of the nurse and patient, skill and knowledge of the nurse about stages in terapeutik communication, and techniques of theraupetie communication of the nurse in Surabaya International Hospital is not optimum, so valuation of the patient to the nurse is enough.
Awareness of the nurse to develop knowledge and skill about terapeutik communication is so important, beside that they need support from the hospital to do training and education about terapeutik communication.
