Abstract
Perbedaan prinsip AHGS (Acute Herpetic Gingivostomatitis) dan ANUG (Acute Necrotizing Ulcerative Gingivitis) adalah etiologi, dimana AHGS merupakan infeksi virus sedangkan ANUG bakteri; bentukan lesi, AHGS khas dengan bentukan vesikula sedangkan ANUG khas dengan pseudomembran; tempat lesi, AHGS dapat pada gusi, mukosa bukal dan labial, palatum, pharynx, mukosa sub-lingual, dan lidah sedangkan ANUG pada daerah interdental papilla yang meluas ke margin gingiva.
