Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh HgCl2 (Merkuri klorida) dengan dosis yang berbeda terhadap persentase jenis kelamin anakan jantan B. plicatilis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Penelitian ini terdiri dari lima perlakuan berupa dosis HgCl2 yang berbeda yaitu perlakuan A (kontrol), perlakuan B (0,0005 mg/L), perlakuan C (0,0030 mg/L), perlakuan D (0,0055 mg/L) dan perlakuan E (0,0080 mg/L) dengan 4 kali ulangan, Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemaparan logam berat merkuri klorida (HgCl2) dengan dosis yang berbeda memberikan pengaruh berbeda sangat nyata terhadap persentase anakan jantan B. picatilis. Kualitas air merupakan parameter pendukung penelitian ini. Parameter pendukung yang diukur selama penelitian adalah suhu air berkisar antara 30 – 33° C, pH berkisar antara 7 – 8, dan DO 8 mg/L. Parameter kualitas air tersebut masih berada dalam batas toleransi untuk pertumbuhan B. plicatilis. Translation: The aim of this research is to observed the effect of HgCl2 (mercury chloride) with different doses to the percentage of sex male young B. plicatilis. The research method is experimental method with Completely Randomized Design (CRD). This research were used five treatments and four replications, the treatment consist of treatment A (control), treatment B (0.0005 mg / L), treatment C (0.0030 mg / L), treatment D (0.0055 mg / L) and treatment E (0.0080 mg / L).. The resultsof this research showed that exposure of heavy metals mercury chloride (HgCl2) with different doses resulted significant different effects to the percentage of sex male young B. picatilis. Water quality is a supporter of the parameters of this research. Supporting parameters measured during the study is the water temperature ranged between 30-33 ° C, pH range between 7-8, and DO 8 mg/L. Water quality parameters are still within the limits of tolerance for the growth of B. plicatilis
