Abstract

Injectable Bone Substitute is a bone substitute material in a form that can be injected. Type of injectable bone substitute combine viscous polymer solution phase with bioactive ceramics.manufacture of hydroxyapatite in the form of injectable bone substitute pasta and the results showed that the hydroxyapatite could form a suspension or paste by using a polymer hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC) with a concentration of 2% (w/v) as suspension agent. This study developed for a variety of substrate or injection site Injectable Bone Substitute substrate used substrates including hydroxyapatite, HA-SBF, HA-Gelatin, and HA-Gelatin-SBF, in order to produce a variety of substrate suitable for the body.Used several tests to determine the outcome of the substrate. Hydroxyapatite substrate underwent hardening for 4 hours, the size of the pore diameter 90,92-531μm, the density rose 0.05 g / cm3, the porosity of 26.87%, and of the structure of hydroxyapatite crystallineobtained content of 99.92%. Substrate HA-SBF underwent hardening for 5 hours, from 134.3 to 316.4 μm pore diameter size, the density rose 0.02 g / cm3, the porosity of 25.99%, and the structure of hydroxyapatite crystalline content obtained of 97,64%. HAGelatin substrate underwent hardening during the 4hr 30min, from 147.5 to 351.9 μm pore diameter size, the density rose 0.13 g / cm3, the porosity of 14.19%, and of the structure of hydroxyapatite content crystallineobtained 99,89%. Last substrate HA-Gelatin-SBF underwent hardening for 7 hours, the size of the pore diameter 175,0-849,9μm, the densityincreasing of 0.24 g / cm3, the porosity of 33.33%, and the structure of hydroxyapatite content crystalline content amounting to 99.86%. Fourth wide variety of substrates time hardening, pore structure, density, porosity, and crystallinecontent substrate, these values are still included in the boundary value properties of sponge bone, so that the substrate is suitable for hardening media of Injectable Bone Substitute.
