Abstract
Has done research on the fabrication breast phantom based on gelatin-gliceryn- TiO2 as tissue’s simulation. Sample preparation was done by mixing gelatin, glycerin, and TiO2 powder with variations include the addition of a glycerin concentration of 85%, 90%, 95%, and 100%. Gelatin mass composition and saline made constant which is 3 grams of gelatin per 10 ml of saline. The addition of TiO2 given variation includes 0,01 grams, 0,015 grams, 0,02 grams, and 0,025 grams. Phantom printouts then applied microscopic characterization (FTIR) and the macroscopic which include durability test, compressive strength, and thermal test (DSC). Homogenity and absorption coefficient phantom performed using the device Diffuse Optical Tomography (DOT). The addition of glycerin concentration of 100% was able to survive at room temperature for 126 hours and results modulus of elasticity (45.89 ± 3.58) KPa that came closest to normal mammary elasticity modulus. The homogenity test used variation of waveleght 808 nm results that all samples are homogenized. Value of the absorption coefficient ( ) breast phantom based on composite gelatin-glycerin-TiO2 in TiO2 addition of 0,025 grams was 0.167 mm ¹ (at λ = 830 nm). Based on the results of the characteristics, glycerin and TiO2 could be used as breast phantom.
