Abstract

Serat Rengganis KPPN is a text written in Javanese Pegon with kharokat, Javanese language, Java or poetical macapat song, and totaled 48 pages. The text is the one stored in the society, which is one of manuscript collections owned by KT Poesponegoro, First Gresik Regent stored in Padepokan Poesponegoro, Prigen-Pasuruan. Serat Rengganis KPPN contains about Islamic epic story with the main character and the Goddess Dewi Rengganis and Amir Hamzah. This study was analyzed by using the theoretical approach of philology and culture, as well as the concept of local wisdom and Islamization. The theory used to analyze kodikologi philology or text identification, with rather free translation, editing text with standard methods, critrical text, and history of texts. The cultural theory and the concept of local wisdom and Islamization are used to reveal the forms of local wisdom and Islamization in Serat Rengganis KPPN. The results of this study are 1) Text Criticism on Serat Rengganis KPPN by showing other forms of copying errors, such as Lacuna (reduction), addition, substitution (mistakes), and combination, 2) The finding of history of the text on the Serat Rengganis KPPN which relates to Serat Rengganis by Rangga Janur and Serat Menak by Carik Ki Narawita, Hikayat Amir Hamzah, until the Parsi literature entitled Qissa'i Emir Hamza. Everything is interconnected showed by there are similarities on tradition or plot and the characters between Serat Rengganis KPPN dan Serat Rengganis by Rangga Janur; 3) Analysis of error patterns of rhytme song macapat in tabular form covering guru laghu, guru gatra, and guru wilangan.
