Abstract

Introduction: Project Based Learning (PjBL) model has tremendous potential to make the learning experience more meaningful and interesting. The use of E-Learning method by using computer technology (network) can provide access for students to interact with learning resources widely. Interactive learning methods are expected to provide an opportunity to develop the whole realm and powerful intelligence for students’ academic achievement and personal competence from each desiredsubject and to influence students’ interest and learning motivation. The purpose of this study is to explain the difference of students’ interest and learning motivation by applying Project Based Learning and E-Learning method in Immune and Hematology 2 subject. Method: The research design used was cross-sectional with comparative study. Population of this research was reguler program students in Faculty of Nursing Universitas Airlangga Surabaya in the academic year of 2012. The samples were taken by using simple random sampling with 93 students as the samples in accordance with the inclusion criteria. The data were collected by questionnaires and analyzed by using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test with significance level α≤0.05.Result: Results showedthat by the application of Project Based Learning (PjBL), students had enough interest to learn (80.6%) and enoughlearning motivation (64.5%). While most students with E-Learning had enough interest to learn (90.3%) and enough learning motivation (92.5%). Analysis of different data obtained p-value=0.000.Discussion: Further studies could continues with analysis of factors related to learning interest and motivation in PjBL or E-learning.
