Abstract

Smoking behavior is phenomenal activity, meaning that despite the many people who know the harmful effects of smoking, but the number of smokers has not decreased even increasing. Even a trend towards increasing age started smoking young. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between smoking behavior in adolescence. This study used a cross-sectional method. The population is 4-6 grade students in elementary Krikilan 3 Driyorejo Gresik. The sample in this study were 62 students. Which have been collected by using purposive sampling technique. Date were analyzed using Spearman Rho statistical test with p <0.05 The results of this study indicate that all factors have relationships with different levels - different. There is a very strong relationship between parental smoking influences p = 0.02 and r = 0802. There is a very strong association between smoking and the influence of friends p = 0.01 and r = 0.985. There is a weak correlation between smoking influences personality p = 0.021 and r = 0.292. There is a strong association between smoking and the influence of advertising p = 0.11 and r = 0.798. Recommendations from this study are used as materials to develop programs for know factors that influence smoking behavior in adolescence.
