Abstract
This research was aimed to identifiying the channel of trading and institutions involved in beef cattle’s trading, margin distribution, farmer’s share and beef cattle’s trading efficiency of Lembu Suro livestock group in Kedewan district of Bojonegoro Regency. This reasearch used the survey method and to analized data used descriptive analysis. Method research with interview directly to respondents (breeder, marketing agency). The materials in this study were livestock group, three small-scale traders( Polang level District and Village), three livestock brokers animal market, and three large-scale traders(Polang level Province and Regency) at Banjarjo animal market of Padangan district, Padangan market, Kedewan market, Sumber Rejo market of Bojonegoro regency. Sampling of livestock grup used purposive sampling while for others marketing agencies applied snowball sampling teknique. The results of research showed that there were four (4) trading channels includes: livestock grup, small trader (Polang level district and village), cattle broker of animal market, large trader (Polang level province and regency) and consumer. The highest marketing margin was obtained from trading channel IV (Rp. 1.650.000,- per head) and the lowest was from trading channel I (Rp.0,- per head). The highest Farmer’s share was obtained from trading channel I( 100 percent ) and the lowest was from trading channel IV (89,78 percent). The efficiency of trading system on all channel trading system lies in the value of 0-33 percent. The highest Efficiency value was obtained from trading channel IV( 2,71 percent ) and the lowest was from trading channel I (0 percent). The conclusions of this research that the trading channel on Lembu Suro’s Livestock Group as seen from the marketing margin, farmer’s share and the efficiency of trading, so the most beef cattle’s trading efficiency of Lembu Suro Livestock Group is a trading channell
