Abstract
Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia is still relatively high and should be lowered. One of the causes of maternal death are iron deficiency (anemia) which will then impact on bleeding at the time of delivery. Hb examination achievements in Puskesmas Kebonsari 2013-2014 is still low, 20% from K1. The aim of this is to formulate recommendations to improve the achievement of Hb level examinations in pregnant women based on a factor of pregnant women's behavior analysis and interpersonal communication. This research was conducted in December 2014 through October 2015 using cross sectional design. The location used in this study is Puskesmas Kebonsari Surabaya. The sample used random sampling from total of 70 pregnant women in Puskesmas Kebonsari. Results from this study showed that the perceived by pregnant women is 71.4%, the cues to action is 62.9% and interpersonal communication is 52.9%. Factors which influences on the behavior of pregnant women in the examination of Hb levels in this study were perceived, cues to action and interpersonal communication.
