Abstract

The purpose of this study is aimed to analyze the influence of private investment and economic structure changes on exports and economic growth and employment for the social welfare in province of East Kalimantan. For this purpose in accordance with the method of path analysis using SPSS software assistance. The data were analyzed during the period of the year 1998 until the year 2008 in the province of East Kalimantan. Used path analysis to test the effect of private investment and changes in economic structures toward exports and economic growth and employment opportunities and prosperity in East Kalimantan Province. Conclusions resulting from this study were. 1. non signifikan influential private investment to economic growth and marked negative. 2. changes in economic structure non signifikan effect on exports and marked negative. 3. changes in economic structure non signifikan effect on economic growth and marked negative. 4. a significant private investment to the export and marked positive. 5. non significant affect economic growth on employment and the marked negative. 6. export significant effect on employment opportunities and marked positive. 7. a significant employment opportunities for the welfare of the community and marked positive. Further analysis carried out modifications to the model for variable non-oil economic growth as well as with oil and gas was the result coefficient is not much different path.
