Abstract
PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Banjannasin branch is a go public company which concerns with work safety and healthy in order to support labour productivity. Safety work in this research includes safety not only toward the ingredient, tools and machines but also human as the executor and organizer of those elements. According to K3 institute, the benefits can be gained from work safety programs are labour protection under safety rights on doing the job, the safety guarantee for everyone out and in the area of work place, the availability of production sourcer efficiently and safety, the safety and fluency of work for labour and the improvement of labour prosperity through thee increasing of return that can be reached by company because of the work productivity improvement.
The research aims to know the work safety factors that consists of engineering control, matching the labour; and the work tools, perfecting the tool of protection, perfecting the company's household maintenance, counseling. Enthusiastic and training effects to the labour produvtivity in the production department of PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur, Tbk Banjarmasin branch. Primary data with 200 respondents has used in this research.
The result that has reached in this research is applied the independent varable into the model. Not only partially but also simultan has an effect to the labour productivity. Independent variable which has a domir-ant effect to the labour productivity is engineering control (Xl). The value of the detenninant coefficient from the calculation result is 0,678. It means that the change of dependent variable (labour productivity in the production department of PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur,Tbk Banjarmasin branch) can be explained by independent variables which include into the model (engineering control, matching the labour and the work tools, perfecting the tool of protection, perfecting the company's household maintenance, counseling, enthusiastic and training of work safety all together and the rest of it 32,3 % is explained by another variables that is not included into the model (galat factor)
