Abstract

This research was aimed to study the effect of tablet tambah darah (TTD) and zinc (Zn) supplementations to nutritional status, level of haemoglobine (Hb), level of Zinc (Zn) and outcome of pregnation on pregnant woman with chronic energy malnutrition (CEM) for 3RD trimester. This research was an experimental study with a pretest-postest control group design that evaluated the effect of TTD and zinc supplementations for 3RD trimester to rising nutritional status, level of Hb, level of Zn and outcome of pregnancy. The samples were took from CEM pregnant woman sub population with begin the gestation from 28-29 weeks until 39-40 weeks, not suffered deseases and level of Hb < 12 gram%. Samples were took randomly and separated by randomized allocation became two groups (l control group and I treatment group). Control group was pregnant womans group received TTD supplement and treatment group was pregnant womans received TTD and Zn supplements alternately consumed after dinner, while Zn consumed after breakfast. The end results were came out from study based on kovarian test showed a significant influence on level of Hb difference, weight birth and history of partus seemed prolonged labor and premature rupture of fetal membranes. While, nutrient consumption factor was rising protein consumption increased level of Zn and Zn postest, infant weight birth and influence of calorie consumptions to history of partus.
